North Las Vegas

The nicest golf courses in Nevada, and arguably the world, are located in North Las Vegas. Shadow Creek used to be available to only a privileged few but today it’s open to the public, though it is much more affordable if you are staying at one of the MGM Mirage Hotel/Casinos. The website boasts that, “Shadow Creek may be the most spectacular golf course this side of heaven.” The Las Vegas BikeFest is held in North Las Vegas. It draws thousands of people from all over the country. Many of them ride their motorcycles hundreds of mile to attend the annual gathering. The festival is four days long and includes motorcycle exhibits, vendors, and competitions. And parties.

Hogs and Heifers Saloon is one of the most popular after-hour spots in Las Vegas. It was the bar that originally inspired the hit movie Coyote Ugly. They don’t serve fancy drinks or cocktails so beware. The bar is all about shots, beer and no whining. Seriously. The bartenders are all women who won’t hesitate to soak you with a glass of water or scream at you through a megaphone if you step out of line. Cheetahs is one of the most infamous gentleman’s clubs in Las Vegas. It features six stages and a full bar. You must be 21 or older to get in because they serve alcohol, and there is a small cover charge during peak hours. Triple 7 Restaurant & Brewery is a local favorite. They serve American fare including sensational hamburgers and their famous garlic fries. You can also order one of their micro-brewed beers made right on the premises.
